Eagle or Otter Experience - £260 (full day)
Eagle Photography Hide - £195 / person / day
Skye has so much more to offer the photographer than stunning landscapes. Its wildlife attracts people from all over the world to see eagles soaring in the skies, otters tucking into freshly caught crab on the shore or red deer roaming through the hills.
Our wildlife guide, Harry, is a zoologist and knows where and when to get the best chances of photographing and watching these majestic animals in their natural and wild environments. Due to the subjects being truly wild, we cannot guarantee sightings, but we generally achieve success rates of over 80% for eagles and over 60% for otters and red deer.
To get the most from your day you will need at least a 400mm lens, but we have suitable equipment for hire if you don’t have your own. If you rent a long lens for the day and are unlucky enough not to get any good sightings, you won’t be charged for the rental. You can’t ask for fairer than that!
- Full day = 8 hours which includes getting to and from locations
- Price covers up to 2 people
- For additional persons add £40 each
Please note - a good level of fitness is required for all excursions as steep ascents are required to access the best locations for eagles and red deer, and slippery uneven ground is often required to be negotiated for otters.
Eagle Photography Hide
Our brand new moorland photography hide is perfectly positioned to give you the best chance of shooting some of Britain’s most enigmatic birds of prey - golden and white-tailed eagles. Built to comfortably sit two photographers, plus your guide Harry, being in the hide is a full day affair with entry before sunrise and exit after dark. We use bait that has either died naturally, is a roadkill animal or has been shot ethically for conservation purposes. A minimum of two days is recommended to give you the best chance of getting a sighting.
